Bill Summary

Would prohibit the purchase, ownership or possession of enhanced body armor except (1) under the authority of the Federal Government or any state or political subdivision, or (2) the enhanced body armor was lawfully purchased prior to this bill becoming law. "Enhanced body armor" is any armor, helmet, or shield, which meets or exceeds the ballistic performance of Type III armor, which is military grade.
