Should Congress pass this package of gun violence prevention laws?
This bill raises the age to purchase a semiautomatic rifle from 18 to 21 years old. The bill prohibits the civilian use of large-capacity magazines and establishes new federal offenses for gun trafficking. Also, this bill creates voluntary best practices for safe gun storage and gives dealers a tax incentive of 10% of the sale of safe storage devices. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosives would strengthen its regulation on ghost guns and bump stocks. Sponsor: Rep. Jerrold Nadler (Democrat, New York, District 10) View full bill text ➔
