Proponents say

•      "There are fewer survivors to share stories and young people today feel the Holocaust happened in the distant past – what that means is that we need to bring people together based on human and civil rights and values and from there explain that learning from the Holocaust is the foundation on which our societies were built – this approach allows people to learn and share. Communication and how we talk to one another is everything" Source: International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.

•      "The amount of antisemitism we consistently see on college campuses is disturbing and unacceptable, [...] Colleges and universities have long been breeding grounds of antisemitism and the recent Hamas attack has taken it to the next level. Now, more than ever, it's critical that we crack down on antisemitic hate within our own country." Source: Rep. Mike Lawler (Republican, New York, District 17)
